Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s a list of questions and answers to our gunsmithing shop’s most frequently asked questions. If you have a question that we haven’t answered, please visit our contact us page and fill out the online form.

1. Do you sell ammunition or guns?

We are a gunsmithing shop. While we have some display firearms for sale, we are not a gun retailer. We do not stock firearms or ammunition.

2. Can you look at my gun?

Sure thing! Bring it by the shop.

3. What’s your lead time?

Depending on the service, our lead time can range from 3 - 8 weeks. For a current estimate, send us an email or call the shop.

4. What’s the status of my gun?

Please check your estimated completion date on your work order. If that date hasn’t come yet, we are either working on the guns in front of yours or currently working on yours.

If your estimated completion date has passed and you haven’t yet heard from us, please give us a call or send an email.

5. Can you hold my spot? I can bring my gun in later.

Nope. We do not take reservations. We have a lot of people waiting for our services.

6. Can I pay to have this done sooner?

Nope. Unless you want to cover the bill of everyone else in front of you. We have a lot people waiting in line and services are completed in the order they were checked in.

7. Can I bring my friend’s gun in for them? Or can I pick my friend’s gun up for them?

NO. That’s a felony—it’s considered a private party transfer without a background check. The owner of the firearm must be the person to both check in and out their gun with us.

8. Why do you need my ID?

If we keep your firearm on our premises overnight, we need to take a copy of your government issued ID. To remain compliant with ATF rules, we keep a record of all firearms checked into our care.
