MultiCam Radian Model 1

The MultiCam Cerakote finish is applied by one of the best Cerakote artists in the country. This premier camo Cerakote enhances the rifle's aesthetics but also provides a durable, protective layer against wear and corrosion.

MultiCam is a camouflage pattern developed by Crye Precision in collaboration with the U.S. Army Natick Laboratories. The primary goal of this design was to create a versatile camouflage that would be effective in a variety of environments, thereby reducing the need for multiple camouflage patterns.

MultiCam gained prominence during the U.S. Army Uniform Trials of 2004. Despite not being immediately adopted by the U.S. Army, its effectiveness was noted, and it was eventually selected for use in 2010 for personnel deployed to Afghanistan under the name Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern (OEF-CP) (Camopedia) (Army PRT).

Its ability to blend into multiple environments—deserts, forests, and urban areas—has made it a preferred choice for many applications and has been adopted by numerous military forces worldwide, including the British and Australian Armies (Army PRT).

MultiCam's appeal extends far beyond its military use, finding a significant following among civilian firearm enthusiasts. It has become popular because of its intricate blend of colors and shapes that create a dynamic and visually appealing pattern. It stands out for its modern, high-tech look, making firearms finished in MultiCam particularly attractive.

M81 Woodland Radian Model 1

The M81 Woodland Cerakote finish is applied by McCluskey Arms Co., a premier custom Cerakote applicator in Oregon.

During the Cold War, the U.S. military sought a more effective camouflage for diverse environments, especially forested areas. Introduced in 1981, the M81 Woodland camouflage pattern, was designed to replace the earlier ERDL pattern and plain green uniforms. The pattern was intended to provide better concealment at various distances, reflecting a shift in tactical focus to potential conflicts in Europe (House Morning Wood).

M81 Woodland is characterized by its four-color, high-contrast disruptive pattern, which includes shades of green, brown, black, and sand. This pattern was designed to mimic the natural foliage found in temperate forests, making it highly effective for concealment in wooded areas.

The pattern was widely adopted across all branches of the U.S. military and saw extensive use from its introduction in the early 1980s through the early 2000s (Camopedia) (News Military).

The M81 Woodland pattern was prominently used in various military operations, including the U.S. invasions of Grenada in 1983 and Panama in 1989, as well as throughout the 1990s in conflicts such as the Gulf War and operations in Somalia. Although it has since been replaced by more modern camouflage patterns like the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP) and Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP), M81 Woodland remains an iconic and recognizable design (House Morning Wood) (Strikehold).

M81 Woodland's classic design offers a rugged, traditional look that appeals to both new and seasoned enthusiasts. Its iconic blend of green, brown, and black is instantly recognizable and evokes a sense of military heritage and reliability.
